Welcome to the Asian College of Exercise and Sports Science (ACESS).Whether you are a researcher, practitioner, educator, or an individual seeking evidence-based guidance on health and performance, we are delighted to have you with us.
In an age where information is abundant yet often inconsistent, the role of science is more important than ever. Science does not simply provide answers—it offers reliable, reproducible solutions grounded in evidence. At ACESS, we are committed to advancing such knowledge to address real-world challenges in sports, exercise, and health.
Sport, in many ways, reflects the broader fabric of society. It encompasses not only human physiology and performance, but also behavior, culture, ethics, and community. Sports and exercise science is therefore inherently interdisciplinary—spanning biological and medical sciences, as well as social, behavioral, and technological domains. This breadth enables us to better understand not only how we move, train, and perform, but also how we live, interact, and thrive.
While global organisations have made significant contributions to the field, Asia presents unique cultural, environmental, and demographic contexts that require dedicated attention. ACESS was established to serve as a platform for advancing sports and exercise science within this diverse and dynamic region. By fostering collaboration across countries and disciplines—and leveraging emerging technologies such as AI—we aim to overcome traditional barriers and accelerate the exchange of knowledge and ideas.
Our mission is to advance interdisciplinary research, address Asia-specific challenges in health and physical activity, and translate scientific evidence into practical solutions for both high-performance sport and the wider community. We are equally committed to nurturing the next generation of scholars and practitioners, and to promoting ethical, inclusive, and innovative practices across the field.
As a young and growing society, ACESS is at an exciting stage of development. We are building a vibrant community of researchers, clinicians, educators, and industry partners who share a common goal: to advance science in ways that meaningfully improve lives.
We warmly invite you to join us—whether as a member, collaborator, or partner—in shaping the future of sports and exercise science in Asia.
Together, we can contribute to healthier, more active, and more resilient societies.
